Interior Weeping Tile Systems Alberta
Water Is Getting Into Your Basement
When water is entering your basement through the floor-wall joint or seeping up through the floor, an interior weeping tile system is often the most practical solution. Rather than fighting water head-on, an interior system captures it once it enters and channels it to a sump pit for removal — keeping your basement dry without requiring full exterior excavation.
When Interior Systems Make Sense
Interior weeping tile isn't a lesser option — it's the right choice in specific situations, and it's often more accessible and cost-effective than exterior work.
- Water entering through the floor-wall joint
- Finished or tight-access areas where exterior excavation isn't practical
- Properties where exterior drainage alone hasn't solved the problem
- Existing exterior tile that cannot be replaced without major disruption
- Situations requiring fast, effective water management
How Interior Weeping Tile Works
Assessment
We identify where water is entering, how much, and determine whether an interior system is the right solution for your situation.
Perimeter Trench
A trench is cut along the interior perimeter of the basement floor, just inside the foundation wall.
Drainage System Installation
Perforated pipe is installed in the trench, graded to flow toward the sump pit location. The trench is filled with clear stone and covered with new concrete.
Sump Pit Connection
The drainage pipe routes water to a sump pit, where a sump pump removes it from the building. If a sump pit doesn't exist, we install one.
