Foundation Crack Repair Edmonton
A Leaking Crack Doesn't Fix Itself
Foundation cracks are the most common way water gets into an Edmonton basement. Saturated clay soil and freeze-thaw cycling push water through any opening in the wall — cracks, cold joints, and old tie-rod holes. We seal them with injection-grade polyurethane and epoxy from inside the basement, so the leak is stopped at the source rather than covered over.
Signs You Need Crack Repair
Not every crack is structural, but any crack that leaks, widens, or changes shape needs a proper look. The pattern of the crack tells us what is causing it.
- Water seeping through a wall crack after rain or snowmelt
- Vertical cracks in poured concrete walls
- Horizontal or stair-step cracks in block walls
- Damp lines or staining around cold joints or tie-rod holes
- A crack that has grown wider since you first noticed it
How Foundation Crack Repair Works
Assessment
We read the crack pattern first. A vertical shrinkage crack, a horizontal crack on a block wall, and a leaking cold joint are three different problems, and the repair depends on which one you have.
Preparation
The crack is cleaned and injection ports are set along its length so material can be driven through the full depth of the wall, not just the surface.
Injection
Polyurethane is used to stop active water leaks; epoxy is used where the crack needs to be bonded structurally. The material fills the crack from the inside face toward the soil side.
Finish & Cause
Ports are removed and the surface is finished. If the crack points to a bigger problem — lateral soil pressure, failed weeping tile, poor grading — we tell you plainly.
